Well holy crap, it has been a long time since I have stepped foot here. kinda funny looking at my promises of more submissions, lolololololol....
Anyway for those that actually read these, things have changed dramatically in my life over the last little bit. I've finally accepted that animation & art/game design would be a good career choice, also been enjoying my job at my local walmart. It's a pain in the ass sometimes just like any retail job, but I like the people I work with and that makes a huge difference, (except for some of the fabrics and crafts ladies, they hate me XD). Also got a sweet midi centric recording studio set up, its pretty rad.
Unfortunately other aspects of my life still aren't going too well, I have finally been forced to move on from someone I wanted to be with and cared about deeply, but life sucks sometimes and you have to get over it. Just wish life didn't have to kick my heart into my ass so often XD. Hell, I think things will be better from this point, I really needed to let all of it go, it was kinda killing me inside, of course it still sucks wondering what could have been.... being single blows.
well just so this isn't a pointless post I've recently adopted a philosophy that pertains exceptionally well to creative arts.
it is called..........................................*drumroll*
The Cult of Done Manifesto
1 There are three states of being. Not knowing, action and completion.
2 Accept that everything is a draft. It helps to get it done.
3 There is no editing stage.
4 Pretending you know what you're doing is almost the same as knowing what you are doing, so just accept that you know what you're doing even if you don't and do it.
5 Banish procrastination. If you wait more than a week to get an idea done, abandon it.
6 The point of being done is not to finish but to get other things done.
7 Once you're done you can throw it away.
8 Laugh at perfection. It's boring and keeps you from being done.
9 People without dirty hands are wrong. Doing something makes you right.
10 Failure counts as done. So do mistakes.
11 Destruction is a variant of done.
12 If you have an idea and publish it on the internet, that counts as a ghost of done.
13 Done is the engine of more.
